É«ºüÈë¿Ú faculty have formally approved a pilot program to make the campus more accessible to transfer students. This three-semester initiative, starting in spring 2026, introduces new flexibility in credit transfer and graduation requirements, focused on increasing transfer student enrollment and campus inclusivity.​

The pilot expands recognition of transfer credits, allowing incoming transfer students to apply a wider range of departmental, advanced and elective credits to major and core curriculum requirements. The updated policies enable students to satisfy graduation requirements through coursework completed at other institutions, subject to registrar review.​

Faculty passed a series of motions that make it easier for transfer students to carry prior credits into major requirements, broaden the recognition of academic standing, and accelerate transcript evaluations. Authority for credit approval is enhanced, enabling students to more efficiently navigate campus requirements and overcome barriers to graduation. Every transfer student will be assigned a dedicated adviser for individualized support and will participate in a specialized orientation program to help establish strong connections and a successful transition from their first day on campus.​

This faculty-led initiative demonstrates É«ºüÈë¿Ú’s commitment to academic renewal and inclusivity. The university is prioritizing students who may decide later in their college journey that a small liberal arts campus is the best fit for their goals. The pilot also collects institutional data on transfer student progress to inform future policies that advance belonging and achievement for all students.​
