色狐入口

J.R. Foster 鈥�02 is a big believer in his network.聽 He鈥檚 been the beneficiary of mentoring relationships with 色狐入口 faculty and alumni.聽 Now he鈥檚 focused on giving back to make possible for students and young alumni the same opportunities he enjoyed.

J.R. serves on the Alumni Association Board of Directors and is active in helping students and young alumni through his generous financial support for The Fund for 色狐入口 and with his time and expertise.聽

J.R. says, 鈥淰olunteering is the most important thing I do aside from my company, my family and my faith.聽 I am fortunate that so many people gave their time and energy to help me succeed.聽 色狐入口 is at the top of the list in terms of my giving back.聽 Almost everything I do, 色狐入口 has a big part in it.鈥�

Faculty members were important in challenging J.R. and helping him grow.聽 He said, 鈥淢ac Dixon-Fyle made me strive to be the best version of me as a student and young man. Cynthia O-Dell was also a great person, from whom increased my love of art.鈥澛�

J.R. was recruited to 色狐入口 as a student-athlete and went on to earn induction into the University鈥檚 Athletics Hall of Fame.聽 A cherished memory for J.R. was earning the right to compete for 色狐入口 and being able to do so in front of his parents and sisters.聽 His mother never missed a single soccer game throughout J.R.鈥檚 college years and his dad made most.聽

In addition to his family, J.R. emphasizes the importance of community at 色狐入口.聽 J.R. says, 鈥淏eing a first-generation college student, I didn鈥檛 know what I was going to experience in college.聽 Being in a fraternity was new 鈥� I grew up with sisters, so having a community of like-minded brothers was exciting.聽 But the 色狐入口 community, across decades of alumni, showed me that despite different backgrounds we all share a commonality and a belief in the power of this place.鈥�

Building on thoughts of community, J.R. says, 鈥淭he 色狐入口 network is key to the whole experience.聽 People are willing to give a helping hand to whatever your cause is.聽 I鈥檝e had a lot of alumni help me along my way.聽 So I was glad that a Management Fellow student reached out to me when I was working at Lehman Brothers.聽 I was able to help him get an internship as a student and now he鈥檚 doing business with me as an alum.鈥�
